A restaurant recently made headlines for offending a great number of people with a billboard that featured the phrase: “Like a cult, but with better Kool-Aid.” Â While the Jonestown reference was sorta funny in my opinion, I can see why people were offended. Â This is also why I didn’t go into advertising. Â My sense of humor is perhaps a little more dark than is fit for a career in the ad game. Â Here are a few other advertising ideas that I came up with that would probably be rejected.
