Rejected Restaurant Ads

A restaurant recently made headlines for offending a great number of people with a billboard that featured the phrase: “Like a cult, but with better Kool-Aid.”  While the Jonestown reference was sorta funny in my opinion, I can see why people were offended.  This is also why I didn’t go into advertising.  My sense of humor is perhaps a little more dark than is fit for a career in the ad game.  Here are a few other advertising ideas that I came up with that would probably be rejected.

Please note that these are all intended to be humorous.  They are not real ads.  They are designed to be slightly outrageous.  Before you send me an angry comment, please reconsider using your energies in a far more productive way.

Oh good lord – who would get upset by these – they are funny.

David, … what a pleasure it is to turn to your sites after a long day. I thought I read somewhere that you were publishing a book soon … please let us know so we can buy it and mention it on our blogs. (Check your “leave a comment” links on Hospitality Formula. I tried several times and couldn’t get them to work.)

Actually very very soon. Just waiting on the printers to give me a date. Then you should all check your inboxes.
